Arrivals at Tan Son Nhat Airport
International flights land at Terminal 2 and domestic flights at Terminal 1 (Vietjet Air) or Terminal 3. This page collects what to do after landing — immigration, baggage and the onward journey into Ho Chi Minh City.

International arrivals (Terminal 2)
- Follow signs to passport control, then collect your baggage on the reclaim carousels and clear customs — all inside Terminal 2.
- Then choose your transport: the public bus station sits in front of the terminal (lines 109, 152 and 49), the free landside shuttle links Terminal 2 with Terminals 1 and 3, and taxis wait outside.
Domestic arrivals
- Terminal 1 receives Vietjet Air flights; Terminal 3 receives Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines, VASCO, Bamboo Airways and Vietravel Airlines.
- From the arrivals halls, the free landside shuttle (every 15 minutes, 04:30–00:30) connects all three terminals.
Onward travel
- Buses 109, 152 and 49 run to the city centre from the bus station in front of Terminal 2; bus 119 continues to Mien Tay Bus Station for Vung Tau and the Mekong Delta.
- The airport sits about 7 km northwest of District 1, so road times depend heavily on traffic.
Confirm your arrival terminal with the airline — Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 both handle domestic flights but are separate buildings.
