Terminals at Tan Son Nhat Airport
Tan Son Nhat International Airport has three passenger terminals: Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 handle domestic flights and Terminal 2 handles international flights. After Terminal 3 opened in April 2025 the airport’s total capacity reached about 50 million passengers a year. This page is the overview — each terminal has its own page.

The three terminals
- Terminal 1 — the domestic terminal: 40,948 m² with 20 boarding gates (4 aerobridge gates and 16 remote gates); since Terminal 3 opened it is used solely by Vietjet Air.
- Terminal 2 — the international terminal, opened in December 2007: 115,834 m² and 26 boarding gates after the 2018 expansion, with seven passenger lounges inside.
- Terminal 3 — the new domestic terminal, opened in April 2025: 112,500 m² with 27 gates and capacity for 20 million passengers a year.
Moving between terminals

- Airside shuttle — every 20 minutes from 07:00 to 03:00 from Terminal 3 to Gate A2 in Terminal 1, for transit passengers only.
